It's a Premier Inn. All pretty much the same. It was clean and the staff were friendly.

Premier Inn advertises free Wi-Fi, but the standard Wi-Fi was extremely weak and barely usable. They then asked for an extra £5 per day for “Ultimate Wi-Fi,” which was very disappointing. Guests should not have to pay extra just to get a decent internet connection.
We really enjoyed our stay here. Super friendly staffs. Thank you very much!

Comfortable rooms just right for a couple of nights. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed for refurbishment otherwise it may have got 5 stars. Ideal for us going to Beamish but don't recommend if you actually want to visit Durham.

Staff were well above average in terms of being welcoming and helpful. Breakfasts on all three mornings were cooked to perfection.
Only downside on the food, was that the virtually attached pub has been closed down for over a year. However, on arrival we were given advice on other local eating places in the vicinity, some offering various discounts to P.I. customers but two of these required use of a car.
Downside on the room was the electric heating, which seems to work, only intermittently, but this seems to be the norm for P.I. over the last couple of years.
